Can you supply quality used motorhomes?

As part of Southwest Motorhomes policy of maintaining a quality (modern) low-mileage fleet we occasionally have well-maintained fully equipped motorhomes in excellent condition available for sale, you can see them by clicking here.

Is the motorhome fitted with a television?

Yes, a television is fitted as standard.

Can I leave my vehicle at your premises?

Yes, your vehicle can be left with us for the duration of hire, entirely at the owners own risk. We cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage.

How many drivers are permitted?

One driver is allowed within the hire charges. More drivers can be added at an additional cost. All drivers must be over 25 and under 70 years of age.

What equipment comes with the motorhome?

The motorhome comes with crockery. Linen can be supplied on request.

Can I smoke in the motorhome?

No, we have a strictly no smoking policy.

Can I take my pet?

Some pets are allowed by prior arrangement.

Can we take the motorhome abroad?

Yes! We can arrange European Insurance and green card for a minimal cost. Please contact us for details.

Where can we take the motorhomes?

You can take the motorhomes anywhere in the UK. We recommend that you take a look at places of local interest as there is a wide range to see and do in Somerset and the nearby counties of Devon, Dorset and Cornwall.

At an extra cost, the motorhomes can be used on European breaks.

Can we hire the motorhome at any time of year?

Our hire season commences in March and continues to October.

Are the motorhomes fully insured?

Our motorhomes are covered fully by comprehensive motoring insurance. This is to cover any damage to the vehicle, externally and internally, or to third parties. If there is any damage to the vehicle and the accident is your fault you would be liable for the first £1300, in the case where the damage was caused by a third party we would retain the full damage excess until it was agreed that it was the other parties fault. This insurance does not cover your personal belongings so we recommend you ensure that you are covered by a personal insurance policy for your peace of mind.

Accidental waiver cover can be taken out separately from Southwest Motorhomes.

Can I hire the motorhome from any day?

The motorhome can be hired from any week day during low and mid season, for example Monday-Friday, Friday-Friday or mini breaks Friday-Monday. However in high season hire is weekly bookings, with a collection time of after 15:00 on the day of hire and returned by 10am on the last day of hire.
